Namaste and welcome to your sacred Kedarnath Yatra! We begin this divine journey with an early morning departure from Haridwar, heading toward Sonprayag – the base town for the Kedarnath trek.
En route, receive blessings at the revered Dhari Devi Temple, nestled along the banks of the Alaknanda River. As part of this spiritually rich Kedarnath tour package from Haridwar, you’ll witness the divine confluences at Devprayag and Rudraprayag, where sacred rivers unite.
Enjoy scenic breaks and light meals along the way. By evening, we reach Sonprayag. After hotel check-in, relax and rejuvenate for your upcoming trek to Kedarnath.
The most awaited day of your Kedarnath Yatra begins early . From Sonprayag, we take a shuttle to Gaurikund to begin the Kedarnath trek. Please note, especially during peak season, there may be a slight wait for the shuttle (1-2 hours). Hence, patience and an early start are essential for a smooth experience.
Before we begin, we leave our extra luggage at the Sonprayag hotel, carrying only the essentials for the overnight stay in Kedarnath.
From Gaurikund, embark on a 16 km spiritual trek, with the sound of the Mandakini River and the chanting of "Har Har Mahadev" filling the air. The trail is both challenging and rewarding, with breathtaking views and moments of divine connection. For those who need assistance, palkis and horses are available. By late afternoon or evening, we reach Kedarnath and check into a cozy guesthouse near the temple.
After a serene darshan, take a moment to soak in the spiritual energy and natural beauty of Kedarnath, feeling the profound satisfaction of having reached Baba Kedar’s abode.
We wake up early for an unforgettable spiritual experience—the morning aarti at Kedarnath Temple. This divine ceremony amidst the majestic Himalayan peaks is a moment of pure devotion. After the Kedarnath darshan, we take time for group photos, preserving the memories of this sacred journey.
Next, we visit the Bhairavnath Temple, situated on a small ridge, offering stunning panoramic views of the Kedarnath valley. We'll also take a short walk to witness the Adi Shankaracharya statue and the famous Bheem Shila, a giant boulder believed to have saved the temple during the 2013 floods.
Around 11:00 AM, we begin our descent back down the 16 km trail to Gaurikund, surrounded by the chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and the tranquil rhythm of the Himalayas. After reaching Gaurikund, we take the shuttle back to Sonprayag for a restful evening.
The night is dedicated to reflection, relaxation, and preparing for the final leg of this sacred journey.
After a peaceful breakfast, we begin our return journey to Haridwar. The drive is long yet scenic, with optional stops along the way for photos, tea breaks, and visits to the confluence of rivers at Rudraprayag and Devprayag.
As we journey back, the memories and spiritual energy of Kedarnath stay with us, forever etched in our hearts and minds. By evening, we arrive in Haridwar, bringing this profound Kedarnath Yatra to a close.
