Your Do Dham Yatra by Road begins with a heartfelt Namaste as we welcome you in Haridwar—one of the holiest cities in India. We start our scenic drive early in the morning toward Sonprayag, the base point for the sacred Kedarnath Temple.
En route, we visit the Dhari Devi Temple, situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River. Revered as the guardian deity of Uttarakhand, this temple holds immense spiritual significance and is a powerful start to your Do Dham pilgrimage.
The journey continues through the majestic confluence towns of Devprayag and Rudraprayag, where the rivers meet and legends begin. As the Himalayas open up around you, witness breathtaking valleys, lush forests, and glistening rivers like the Mandakini, setting the tone for your divine journey.
By evening, we arrive at Sonprayag. Check in to your hotel, enjoy a warm dinner, and rest up for the spiritually uplifting day ahead at Kedarnath.
The most spiritually awaited moment of your Do Dham Yatra has arrived! We start early from Sonprayag, taking a government shuttle to Gaurikund, the official base for the Kedarnath Temple trek. During peak season, expect a queue of 1–2 hours for the shuttle—so an early start and a patient heart are essential.
Before departure, we safely deposit extra luggage at the hotel in Sonprayag and carry only essentials for the overnight stay in Kedarnath.
From Gaurikund, we begin the 16 km pilgrimage trek to Kedarnath, echoing with the divine chants of "Har Har Mahadev". The scenic trail runs parallel to the mystical Mandakini River, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and the powerful energy of thousands of fellow pilgrims. For those who need support, palkis and horses are available (at additional cost).
By late afternoon or evening, we arrive at Kedarnath Dham, one of the holiest Shiva temples and a core highlight of the Do Dham Yatra. After checking in to our simple but cozy guesthouse near the temple, we proceed for VIP Darshan and spend a peaceful evening soaking in the divine presence of Lord Shiva in the majestic Himalayas.
We begin the day early with one of the most soul-stirring moments of the Do Dham Yatra—the morning aarti at Kedarnath Temple. Witness the Himalayan dawn light up the ancient shrine of Lord Shiva as chants, bells, and incense fill the air—an unforgettable highlight of your spiritual journey.
After a heartfelt VIP Darshan, we capture the moment with some group photos and visit key nearby attractions:
Around 11:00 AM, we begin our 16 km downhill trek from Kedarnath to Gaurikund, retracing the sacred trail through the Himalayan wilderness. Surrounded by spiritual energy and nature’s serenity, the descent is a time for quiet reflection.
Upon reaching Gaurikund, we board the shuttle back to Sonprayag and check into our hotel. The evening is free for rest, relaxation, and reflection—allowing your mind and body to absorb the blessings of this divine experience.
After an early breakfast, we set out on a soul-soothing journey from Sonprayag to Badrinath, one of the most revered destinations in the Do Dham Yatra. Our route winds through the spiritual towns of Joshimath and Gopeshwar, offering dramatic Himalayan scenery, from dense forests and cascading rivers to snow-clad peaks and peaceful valleys.
This picturesque mountain drive to Badrinath features planned photo stops, tea breaks, and soulful conversations along the way. As we follow the banks of the Alaknanda River, the changing landscapes add to the spiritual rhythm of the yatra.
By late afternoon or evening, we reach the sacred town of Badrinath Dham. If time and energy allow, we proceed for a tranquil evening darshan at Badrinath Temple, witnessing the temple bathed in golden light against the Himalayan backdrop—an experience that calms the mind and uplifts the soul.
We then check into our hotel in Badrinath for a well-deserved rest in preparation for the final day of our Do Dham pilgrimage.
We begin the final day of our sacred Do Dham Yatra with a morning darshan at Badrinath Temple, one of the most important shrines in the Char Dham Yatra circuit. The serenity of the temple at dawn is truly magical, offering peace and closure to our spiritual journey.
After the darshan, we take a quick dip in the Tapt Kund, the natural hot spring believed to cleanse one’s sins and prepare the soul for darshan. If time permits, we proceed to Mana Village, the last inhabited village before the Indo-China border. Here, we explore sacred sites like:
Following breakfast, we start our long yet scenic drive back to Haridwar, tracing the winding mountain roads through Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet to form the sacred Ganga. A peaceful photo stop here offers a moment of reflection before we complete the journey.
By evening, we reach Haridwar, marking the conclusion of a life-changing Do Dham Yatra by road —filled with blessings, mountains, and memories.
