Charan Sparsh Kailash Yatra by Road – Cost, Route & Detailed 2025 Itinerary

Introduction

Charan Sparsh is the most spiritually intense form of Kailash Yatra — offering devotees the rare opportunity to reach closer to Mount Kailash and touch its base. This sacred journey, known as Charan Sparsh Kailash Yatra By Road, begins in Kathmandu and is carried out via the overland route through Kyirong, Mansarovar, and Darchen before trekking beyond Derapuk for the Charan Sparsh point.

If you're preparing for Kailash Yatra 2025, this blog explains the route, cost, day-by-day itinerary, and what makes Charan Sparsh a one-of-a-kind pilgrimage.

What Is Charan Sparsh in Kailash Yatra?

While most pilgrims stop at Dirapuk during the Mount Kailash Parikrama, Charan Sparsh is a trek further beyond — to touch the feet of Mount Kailash. The trail leads you through rocky terrain and icy slopes, right up to the base of Kailash’s north face. It's considered the closest darshan possible, as climbing the mountain itself is forbidden.
