Adi Kailash Trek 2025

About Adi Kailash

Hidden deep in the Kumaon Himalayas of Uttarakhand, Adi Kailash (6,191 m), also known as Chotai Kailash, is a mystical peak revered as the earthly abode of Lord Shiva — the Indian counterpart of Tibet’s Mount Kailash.

Located near the Indo-China border in the Dharchula region, this trek offers an unparalleled blend of spiritual grace, Himalayan beauty, and mythological charm. Every step on this journey feels like walking in the footsteps of ancient sages.

Spiritual Significance

  • Mentioned in Skanda Purana as the sacred seat of Lord Shiva

  • Considered the replica of Mount Kailash

  • Close to the mythical Parvati Kund where Goddess Parvati is believed to have bathed

  • Adi Kailash is one of the Punch Kailash – the five sacred Kailash peaks
